Tell Your House Rep to Support AANAPISI Funding
Tonight, the House of Representatives will be voting on the Fostering Undergraduate Talent by Unlocking Resources for Education Act, also known as the FUTURE Act. The bipartisan proposal preserves funding for Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISIs) and other minority-serving institutions. AANAPISIs provide many Southeast Asian American students with the resources needed to help navigate complex educational systems and a community to strengthen their Southeast Asian American identity.
Call your representative before 6:30 pm ET today to let them know that you support funding for AANAPISIs because they support low-income and first generation SEAA students. Call the US Capitol Switchboard (number provided in the graphic above) or click here to find your rep’s info.
