Nary Rath

Nary is the Immigration Policy Advocate, she monitors immigration policies impacting the Southeast Asian community and manages immigration specific programs and convenings. She advances SEARAC’s legislative goals and immigration priorities by coordinating and participating in key immigration meetings with congressional and administrative stakeholders. 

Prior to this role, Nary was a Legislative Fellow for the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies within the office of Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV), handling the human trafficking portfolio. Nary holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Social Work from Western Connecticut State University. She fulfilled internships with Hartford City Council, the Connecticut Trafficking in Persons Council, and the Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, meditating, cooking, and trying new restaurants.
