Health

Many of our Southeast Asian refugee families continue to bear the visible and invisible wounds of war. Prior to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) of 2010, many families struggled to afford health insurance. But the ACA cut uninsured rates in Southeast Asian American communities in half. SEARAC’s health work fights to protect affordable health care coverage for all, and promotes culturally and linguistically appropriate health and mental health care for our immigrant and refugee communities.
