Organizational Requests for Technical Assistance and Training from SEARAC

Of the 188 organizations serving Southeast Asian American communities, 146 (or 78 percent) reported that they would welcome training or technical assistance in at least one of the following areas from SEARAC: "Advocacy," "Board Training", "Collaborations," "Financial Management," "Fundraising," "Management Training," "Program Management and Development," and "Research." Surveyed organizations most often requested assistance with "Fundraising": 65 percent of organizations made that request.

Some organizations, without doubt, have no need for training and technical assistance from SEARAC. However, some survey respondents were not in the position to provide answers to this section of the survey. Others seemed embarrassed to report needing any aid. Others mentioned that their organizations did not have enough staff capacity to accommodate training or technical assistance.
