Support for Particular Nationality/Ethnic Groups from Surveyed Organizations

This chart shows the number and percentage of organizations that reported offering services to at least one of the four Southeast Asian American nationality or ethnic groups: Cambodian, Hmong, Laotian, and Vietnamese. Many organizations reported offering services to more than one community. Often, these same organizations reported offering services to refugee, immigrant, and lowerincome communities outside the Southeast Asian community, such as Albanians, East Africans, Ethiopians, Somali, etc. Seventy-four, or 39 percent, of the organizations surveyed reported offering services to the Vietnamese community. The Laotian community came second in terms of organizational support, at 64 organizations, or 34 percent of the total participating in the survey. Laotian Americans were followed by Hmong with 63 organizations, or 34 percent of survey respondents. Cambodian Americans were supported by 45 organizations, or 24 percent of survey respondents.
