SEARAC's fifth Annual Leadership-Advocacy Training, sponsored by State Farm®, was a great success. We encourage and facilitate continued communication between participants, and would like to share some of their comments:

Seriously, I am frankly pleased to see so many young folks getting involved in community affairs. This is thanks to your determination and willingness to strive for the betterment of our communities. And a Big Thank You to SEARAC's leaders and staff for having provided the necessary tips and tools for all of us.
I am sure I'll keep wonderful memories (in all aspects) of SEARAC's 5th Annual Leadership-Advocacy Training!
— Bounchanh Senthavong, Virginia

Thanks to SEARAC staff who make this training possible for us. I am very pleased to be part of this training. It is the best way to promote our community leaders to be prepared for the next generation. I will support them wherever they go (elected office or other). I would like to see more Asians to be part of legislative process.
— Sharon Young, Virginia

A BIG HELLO to all of you from Lynn, Massachusetts. I hope all is well for everyone. It is so energizing to have received e-mail across the country from most of the leaders that I met during the training in Washington D.C. I have good news to share with all of you — we now have an organization that will serve the Southeast Asian community here. This is an exciting time for all of us here in Lynn, and even more exciting for me personally.
— Kiriraith Saing, Massachusetts

I am very grateful that SEARAC accepted my application to this training, and I am very happy to have been part of it. Seeing and being with all the participants, who have the same passion that I have, I am more than ever motivated and encouraged to continue striving for the betterment of the Southeast Asian communities here in Rhode Island.
— Samnang Phou, Rhode Island

It has been a great pleasure to be apart of the 2003 Advocacy Leadership training class. I have been just home for a week, and my spirit and soul still remain firmly in DC with you all, and I miss you all now… Remember, we are in the same boat, and strive to serve best for our community; therefore, we must work hard and collaborate with our leadership across the board into our communities.
— Charlie Vang, California
