Do you want to improve the lives of Southeast Asian Americans? Are you ready to advocate for your community? If so, consider an internship with SEARAC!

SEARAC’s internship program will enable interns to gain hands-on experience in:

  • Policy research and legislative advocacy in the areas of education, immigration, health, and economic development
  • Analytical writing
  • Working in collaboration with other groups and organizations
  • Database and organizational management

Interns will receive substantive work, but are also expected to support SEARAC’s programs and operations and abide by office policies and procedures.

To qualify for an internship, the applicant must:

  • Currently attend college/university (undergraduates preferred)
  • Be able to write reports, research papers, and professional letters
  • Have superior communication skills
  • Have knowledge of and interest in the Southeast Asian American community

SEARAC accepts 1-2 interns in the summer and on an as-needed-basis throughout the year. Please inquire with Chanmoni Chim at cchim@searac.org about our internship opportunities and indicate which location (DC or CA) you are interested in.
