Each year, SEARAC gathers together approximately 50 Southeast Asian Americans in Washington, DC for advocacy and networking with members of the U.S. Congress and the federal Administration. The Leadership-Advocacy Training is supported by the State Farm Insurance Companies.

In place of our traditional training, the 2007 event — the 10th anniversary of the Leadership-Advocacy Training — will unite past leadership training participants and new leaders to strategize on their important role in mobilizing Southeast Asian communities throughout the country. Applications to the 2007 event are now being accepted.

Participants remain in touch with one another and with SEARAC through a variety of volunteer activities and through an e-mail list-serve. This project, which is linked with the Southeast Asian American Advocacy Initiative, is funded by State Farm®.
