Support SEARAC through the Combined Federal Campaign
The Southeast Asia Resource Action Center (SEARAC) is honored to announce
our membership in this fall's Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). Our CFC
number is #2229.
The CFC is the U.S. government's annual fundraising drive. SEARAC is now
included in the catalogue federal employees receive from which they can
select up to five international, national and local organizations to which
they would like to make charitable donations.
This year's CFC season lasts until December 15, 2006. During this time
SEARAC encourages all of our valued supporters who work for the federal
government to consider selecting SEARAC as one of your CFC choices. Please
also spread the word about SEARAC and our membership in the campaign to any
federal employees you know.
Donations made to SEARAC through the campaign will be used to help SEARAC
continue our work empowering the Southeast Asian American community. This
work currently includes providing training and resources to community
groups who serve Southeast Asian American elders; providing leadership
development and civic engagement training to Southeast Asian American
leaders from around the country; and, contributing to research about the
educational opportunities and challenges facing Southeast Asian Americans.
People from the Southeast Asian countries of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam
constitute the largest group of refugees ever to build new lives in the
United States. Many of these people risked their lives in Southeast Asia
fighting alongside and in support of the American military.
In order to support SEARAC through CFC, please enter CFC code #2229 on your
pledge card. Thank you!
If you have any questions about SEARAC's involvement with the CFC, please
contact Naomi Steinberg at naomi@searac.org or by calling 202-667-4690.
